Actor/Actress of the Week (and some dish…)
Hello, everyone! Happy day after the election. No matter who you supported, I hope everyone went out there and made their selection. Now, I’m gonna give you my selection: for actor/actress that is!
This week, I pick Kathryn Joosten and Lily Tomlin. Their sisterly interactions were gold this week and I’m kinda hoping for a flashback to that Florida vacation. They were not only a hoot, they genuinely seemed (and looked) like they could be sisters. Once again- kudos to the casting department. Y’all should be getting raises right about now. I, for one, am really looking forward to seeing that relationship play out in future episodes. Lily Tomlin threw those one-liners out so effortlessly, you would’ve sworn she’d been playing this part for more than one episode.
Now, let’s talk some other news. The ratings are in for the latest episode and, once again, it’s good news. They managed a rating of 15.9 million this week, keeping 100% of their 18-49 year-old audience in the process. They also managed a slight increase about 18-34 year-olds. Both groups are favorites of advertisers, by the way. It’s also been named the most watched non-sports show Sunday night. Clearly, this 5 year leap into the future is working.
TV Guide seems to feel the same way. I just found out that they’ve picked next Sunday’s episode as their show to watch for the week. Start setting those VCRs now! If they should fail you, don’t worry. I’ll be here to give ya the play-by-play the next day, as always. For now? I’m out of here. Take care and I’ll see you again next time.
