Casting Dish

by Jamie Beckett

Good morning everyone!! I have some dish for ya today and most of it’s of the spoiler variety. If you’re spoiler-free and wanna stay that way, I’d mosey on over to this blog. Or maybe this oneWe all know that Porter Scavo has a new “friend” on the series played by Gail O’Grady. Well, now Desperate Housewives is about to add another person into the equation- her character’s husband! It’s a pretty familiar face to many, too: Peter Onorati. He played a character named Don is several episodes of the 60’s flashback show American Dreams. He’s also played an attorney on one of Steven Bochco’s shows back in the 90s.

On another casting note that makes me very happy, guess who is coming back to Wysteria Lane? Julie Meyer! I, for one, can’t wait to see what she’s been up to and what the dynamic with Susan will be like now that their situations have changed so much. If y’all remember, Teri Hatcher was not at all happy with the choice to send Julie packing, so this must be great news for her.

I have one last bit of casting news for you today. The band Tokyo Police Club will also be appearing on the show this season. They’ll be appearing in the sweeps episode I told you about awhile back where disaster strikes during a club gig. They’re an indie band from Canada that is quickly making a name for themselves even though they’ve only been together for about 3 years. If you are interested in getting a sneak peak at them, check out this youtube video of their song “Tessellate”.

Well, that’s it for now. Take care and see y’all next time!
