Classic Quotes…

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Good morning, everyone!! As promised, here are some great quotes from this week’s episode. I hope you all enjoy em as much as I did….

Gabby: I don’t want to spend lots of time with you, Carlos, and the kids are on the fence.

Lynette: I know you’ve always been on the receiving end of breakup letters, but I’ve actually written a few.

Jackson: Could this be any more awkward?
Mike: Your robe is open, so yeah.

Bree, defending her use of Van De Kamp for her book and company: “Van De Kamp’ drips off the tongue. ‘Hodge’ sounds like the noise a plunger makes.

Mike (speaking to Susan about his reaction to jackson canceling their night out: Jackson canceled. He said he wasn’t comfortable with our friendship. I said something along the lines of ‘Meow!’ ::makes a whipping noise::

Mike (after Susan messes up a random guy’s drink, thinking it’s Jackson’s): Since we’re not married anymore, so I don’t have to protect you.

And, now…. my personal favorite:

Tom: Are you going to tell him the truth, or are you going to wait until he kills me and blinds himself? I love that one because it’s an Oedipus Rex (My favorite classic play) joke that actually makes sense in the context of the play. It seemed funnier and less cheap then some of the Oedipus jokes I’ve heard made on TV (ANGEL, anyone?). I also love how Mike and Susan are able to be friends and actually joke with each other like they did in this episode. I just hope this isn’t leading up to their 100th reunion. So, what were your favorites? Comment and let me know. I’d love to read em! I leave you with this cool picture I found of the cast. Til next time… take care! Also… be sure to come back tomorrow for some interesting spoilage I came across reading some articles on the show.

I’m Getting Spoiled…

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Good morning, everyone!! Hope you’re all doing great. I have some cool stuff to share with you today. First off…. I know it’s a day late, but here’s that picture I promised from the emmys:

Looks great, doesn’t it? I love the backdrop of the whole thing. Apparently, they did that for other shows as well during the telecast. Gotta love that idea, but it didn’t do much for the show, it seems. Last I read, ratings were down a lot, pretty much the lowest numbers they’d ever gotten. Of course, they were going up against some great competition, including the Presidential candidates on 60 Minutes.

Speaking of good ideas, have y’all seen the new TV Guide? If so, you should. Dana, Teri and Felicity are on the main cover, while Eva, Marcia and Nicollette are on the fold out. It’s got the ladies in 50s-era looks that really suit them and I think it’s a great theme for the shoot for the series. Of course, I do wonder what’s up with Eva’s expression on the fold-out cover. If you buy it, beware of the article…. I read it and saw too late there were quite a few details about the new season. All I will say is, expect some interesting things this year from the characters. One part that seems safe enough to read is a little thing at the bottom of the last page written by Marc Cherry. He explains his reasons for the jump (which I think he may have mentioned before) and tells where he got his inspiration from. Definitely check it out, because he shows a pretty decent sense of humor in the piece. Well, that’s all for now. Take care and see y’all next time!

Desperate Moonlighters

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

Hello again! It’s time once more to dish about our favorite show and the actors. Now, I know this isn’t as exciting as all the baby news lately (although stay tuned- Eva recently said she can’t wait to have kids as well. I guess all the new Desperate kids have been getting to her), but it’s still cool. Remember Band from TV was doing a show on the 26th? Well, I’ve got some pictures to share with you. Let’s start at the beginning, huh?

Here is Teri and James outside the venue before the performance. I love this casual look they have going on and how comfortable they seem to be together. Makes me wonder how they’re going to play being warring exes.

This next picture is, obviously, Teri on stage performing a number. She wasn’t all that bad on that Idol Gives Back special and she really seems to put some passion and acting into these singing gigs with the band. She may never get a record deal and win Grammy awards, but she’s doing a respectable job of playing singer for a good cause.

Finally… this is my favorite picture of them all. James is looking great while playing that guitar and Teri is grinning ear to ear like she’s having the time of her life. Judging by this and her book (more on that another time), she seems to be a really cool person who is genuinely grateful for her second chance and is living that up while it’s here. James, meanwhile, looking totally at home being a guitar hero. It should be fun to see where this group goes from here.

The gig was held in Fullerton, California at the Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium. According to the official site, their next performance will be August 9th on the grounds of the Autry National Center in LA. California residents… get moving if you wanna see this! It’s an outdoor show and will take place at 7 PM. As you may remember, Band From TV features actors from shows such as House, Cashmere Mafia and Alias, among others. Well, that’s all for now. Take care and I’ll see ya next time!

With all the rumors about tension on the set that keep popping up over the years, it’s nice to see something like this. The picture is from a party celebrating the launch of a new Badgley Mischka campaign. Teri hosted the party and, as you can see, Felicity was there to lend her support. The party took place back in August of last year. All I have to say is, if there is tension on the set, these ladies are much better actors then anyone could have ever thought. They always look very comfortable with each other at these events. Not to mention the great chemistry the cast has on screen as well. I’ll be keeping a look out for any other interesting photos and will, of course, share them with you all at least once a week. So, what do you all think of this picture? Did I make a great choice, or do you think I lost my mind on this one? Comment and let me know!

By the way… as a little side note, Teri and Felicity have plenty of reasons to smile right now. The latest episode brought in over 16 million viewers. In a post-strike TV landscape, I’d say that’s pretty good. Will the next episode be able to match or top that number? Stay tuned to find out.

Well, that’s about all for now. I’ll be back tomorrow with more, including a little write-up of James Denton’s appearance on Carson Daly’s show tonight. It starts at 1:36 AM eastern time. Check your local listings to see when it airs in your area. Til next time… take care!

QUICK UPDATE: I found out that Marcia Cross and Teri Hatcher are going to be on The View. Marcia will be on tomorrow, while Teri will join them on on the 16th. I’ll be sure to tape them to give anyone who doesn’t get to see them a recap.

The “Housewives” this week

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

It’s a slow news day in “Desperate Housewives” land. We’re all gearing up and getting excited for the NEW episode on Sunday. And, can I say, it’s about time? Can I get an “Amen!”? Anyhow, here are some great pictures of some of our favorite “Housewives” from this week. I thought I’d share at least that with you all, since you’ve all been so good and patient in waiting for a new episode.

This picture of Felicity is just gorgeous, I simply had to feature it. It was taken December 4, 2006 at the “Tisch On Broadway”, New York University’s Tisch School of the Art’s 2006 Gala Benefit, hosted by Billy Crystal.
