Desperate Housewives

Good morning, everyone!! Well, Gale Harold fans…. there’s not a whole lot to say right now. No new reports have been released regarding his condition. There is, however, a statement by fellow actor Scott Lowell that came out on his official site the other day. Lowell says that out of respect for Gale’s privacy, all he’ll say is the actor is making improvements every day and he’s surrounded by love and support. He asks for the well wishes to keep on coming. Lowell co-starred with Gale on Queer as Folk.

Like Jesse Metcalfe? Well, according to the rumor mill, you just might be seeing him on TV soon. Well, in Britain, anyway. Some reports are saying he’s set to appear on the new season of the reality show I’m a celebrity… get me out of here. There was an American version that aried here for a couple seasons as well. Guess America didn’t feel like making a hit out of every reality import that comes here. If he does end up appearing, it wouldn’t be a total surprise, since he had an off-and-on relationship with a member of British girl group Girls Aloud.

Finally, it’s rumored that Eva has also said she’s interested in getting into the fashion biz with her own line. She supposedly credited that to buddy Victoria Beckham during a radio interview. I’ll let you know if anything comes of it. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is true, either. It seems like it’s practically a law now for stars to develop fashion and accessory lines.

His life of late might sound like a movie, but Jesse Metcalfe has just been confirmed for an actual movie.  He’s apparently signed on to be in an indie horror flick called, “Insanitarium.” In it, he will play a man who pretends to be crazy in order to get himself committed and save his sister who has been involuntarily hospitalized.  Of course, once on the inside the brother and sister duo discover the head doctor isn’t all that that he seems and that he is in fact performing some pretty awful lab tests on his patients, turning them into flesh eating psychopaths.  Sounds fun!

This is in addition to the recent reprisal of his famous role on “Desperate Housewives” for an episode that we can look for in a few weeks.  Good job, Jesse!  Looks like you’re keeping busy.

Well, we heard it was a possibility and it’s true. Nadine Coyle, the ex-girlfriend and lead singer of Girls Aloud has taken back her wayward boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe. Nadine’s bandmate Nicola Roberts revealed this little factoid to Closer magazine during a recent interview.

“They’re together and seeing how it goes. It could work out and it could not.”

While that doesn’t sound like an extremely confident endorsement of their relationship, I’m sure Nadine wouldn’t have taken Jesse back without being somewhat sure of their future together.  And it does appear that Jesse has cleaned up his act in recent months.  Let’s hope that he’s learned his lesson and sticks close to his lady this time.  I wish them both the best of luck.

Jesse Metcalfe launched his music career at the grand-opening bash of Cain at the Cove in the Bahamas. He performed in front of many celebrities (such as Jamie King and Chloe Sevigny) and big wigs and reports are he actually did a pretty good job. He played an acoustic guitar and played songs from his new album, “Darklight”. When asked about his music, he says:

“I think a lot of people will be surprised to learn that I actually have talent. I love playing to an audience. It’s really gratifying.”

Reports are he stayed sober during the entire event (even though it was sponsored by a well-known alcohol company) and he insists that he doesn’t want to do anything to mess up his road to music stardom.  I wish him the best of luck.  I haven’t heard any of his songs yet, but I trust in the reports that say he was pretty good.  Maybe music is the best path for him right now.

After she dumped him several months ago for being photographed holding the hand of another woman, Jesse Metcalfe is now admitting he is desperate (get it?  “desperate??”) to win ex-girlfriend Nadine Coyle back.  The actor recently flew to the UK to win back her heart.

“I have to persuade Nadine that I didn’t cheat on her. I was always faithful and I never cheated. Those girls that I was photographed with meant nothing to me. I would never betray Nadine.  I still love her and it is my dream we get back together soon.”

Lest you think that’s his only reason to flying to England (because that just might be too romantic and unselfish, of course), he’s also over there talking to recording bosses to see about launching a music career.  Yep, you heard me right.  He wants to sing, apparently.  And that’s not all, either.  Despite having recently said, “I have given up drinking. I have been 100 per cent sober for three-and-a-half months now”, he has been seen out in London  “partying on several occasions, including one wild evening at top nightspot Boujis.”  Well, well.  Good luck there, Jesse.  Sounds like you’ll need it.

Is he or isn’t he?  Rumors are flying that former party-boy Jesse Metcalfe is back to drinking after his much-publicized stint in rehab this spring.  But Jesse says that’s all it is; rumors.  Apparently, a recent issue of tabloid magazing In Touch Weekly claimed that Jesse was recently drunk at a John Mayer concert, a rumor which Jesse is furiously denying.  He’s so furious, in fact, that his lawyer Marty Singer has sent a scathing letter to In Touch Weekly and it’s parent company demanding a retraction and apology, or face serious financial liability.  Here’s a boy who takes his sobriety very, very seriously, apparently! 

Is it too late for these star-crossed lovers? If I were Nadine, I would say YES. Because Jesse has definitely used up the “three strikes, you’re out” policy. You’ll recall that Nadine dropped Jesse back in April after he was photographed being awfully chummy with another woman. And this was after Nadine stuck by his side during the whole rehab debacle. Nadine was no fool, so she dropped him like a sack of potatoes. Now? Jesse wants her back in a bad way.

“Jesse is calling Nadine almost non-stop to tell her he still loves her and desperately misses her. But Nadine is unsure about rekindling their relationship she doesn’t want to get hurt again.”

Apparently, she’s planning on flying back to the United States in order to meet with Jesse and talk about things but I think he might find her a rather tough nut to crack. After she broke things off with him, she had some strong words about not putting up with such nonsense and how she was determined to concentrate on her career for the time being. Stay strong, Nadine!

Jesse Metcalf just can’t seem to stay out of trouble these days. Apparently, he was photographed hugging a very attractive mystery woman that is NOT his girlfriend Nadine Coyle. While Nadine is working in the UK, he was seen strolling hand in hand with a pretty brunette. Whoops, indeed.

The pictures have sparked off huge speculation about the couple’s future - with one tabloid going as far as to say the Girls Aloud star has dumped Jesse. The report said that Nadine is furious with her man and is not the kind of girl to put up with that kind of behaviour but her people are refusing to confirm the status of their relationship.

This guy just cannot seem to stay out of trouble. And after his girlfriend stuck so faithfully by his side during the rehab debacle, he should be ashamed of himself.

It would appear that Jesse Metcalf didn’t (just) enter rehab on his. Nope, he had some good motivation. His girlfriend, Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, threatened to leave him if he didn’t get help for his alcohol problem. Apparently his heavy drinking was causing a huge strain on their relationship and Nadine was nearing the end of her rope.

“Jesse is getting help. I’m just glad he has realized he couldn’t go on the way he was. It was hurting me to see him do that to himself. I’m going to be there for him and do all I can to help but at the end of the day, Jesse has to make the decision to stop on his own.”

It’s good that she’s supporting him and rooting for him while he’s in recovery. But at the same time, she’s not taking away his accountability and I think that’s great. Let’s hope that rehab works for him.

When co-star Jesse Metcalf checked himself into rehab for alcohol abuse, no one was more surprised than his former on-screen flame Eva Longoria.

“I was really surprised. I worked with Jesse for a long time and he is the most put together young actor you’ll ever meet.”

But at the same time, she hopes the best for her co-star and makes it clear that she supports him during this undeniably rough period in his life.

“He wants to be responsible and do the right thing. That’s a brave thing and I support him 100 per cent.”

Wow. I find out today, just a day after posting about Jesse Metcalf’s “reign of terror” at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, that he has followed the celebrity trend and entered rehab. I guess once Lindsay Lohan and Brittany Spears does it, everyone else has to too. His rep is quoted as saying:

“On Monday, March 19, Jesse Metcalfe entered a rehab facility to deal with alcohol issues. He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately. The actor, best known as the hunky gardener on the ABC show ‘Desperate Housewives’ and the star of the film ‘John Tucker Must Die,’ hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment.”

It’s still unknown which rehab facility he has checked into, but it is known that he is there for treatment for alcohol abuse. Maybe while he’s there he can get some treatment for anger management as well, you think?

Jesse Metcalf, Desperate Housewives, Mondrian Hotel, celebs in rehab

Jesse Metcalf hasn’t been making very many good impressions lately, it seems. Especially not at West Hollywood’s Mondrian Hotel. Apparently, the star has been blacklisted from the property after recently partying there for four days straight and being mean to the staff. Then, last Friday he exploded at a doorman that worked for the hotels Skybar when he wouldn’t let him in. As a result, he was denied a room at the hotel on Saturday. The hotel insists he hasn’t been officially banned from the premises, but it doesn’t sound promising. He best not make any plans to stay there anytime soon, sounds like.

And when it rains it pours. Jesse recently revealed that his girl-crazy youth is to blame for him losing pretty much all of his friends.

He says, “You’re so wrapped up in a girl that you stop hanging out with your friends and doing the things you enjoy. You lose your sense of self and your identity as a man - and that’s never good.”
