One Charitable Cast
Monday, July 7th, 2008Hey, Housewives fans! I hope you guys had a great weekend and are as ready as I am to get back to talking our favorite show. First, I just want to say thanks to everyone who’s posted a comment lately and I look forward to getting to chat some more. Now… let’s dish, huh?
It’s been pretty quiet on the Housewives front the past few days. Hopefully that will start changing soon as the cast is scheduled to start filming today. Still, there are a couple of things going on. First off, continuing the Housewives tradition of getting involved in good causes, Teri Hatcher recently made a trip to Tanzania with her daughter to benefit Americashare. During their two week stay, the pair kicked off a penpal exchange with Emerson’s school as well as dropping off over 30 grand in supplies and donations. Talk about a productive trip! Americashare helps people in the area who are suffering from poverty as well as HIV/AIDS.
Teri isn’t the only do-gooder on the cast, though. Eva and Felicity, along with many other celebs, have come together in support of the “Burma- It Can’t Wait” campaign. The organization is working to secure the human rights of the people of Burma as well as its jailed would-be leader, Aung San Suu Kyi. Check out a video that features many celebs, including Felicity. You can see more with her and Eva on the organization’s website.
On a lighter note, don’t forget to catch Ricardo on George Lopez if you haven’t seen it already. It will air on Nick at 10 PM on July 9th. I know I’ll be there! Well, I guess that’s about all for today. I wanna leave you with yet another video for anyone who may not have gotten to see this the first time around. It’s Teri Hatcher and Banned from TV performing “Before He Cheats” on Idol Gives Back. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by her performance. What do you all think? Til next time… take care!

Finally, my childhood is getting defiled more each day. Remember Mario Lopez from Saved by the Bell? Well, he wants you to! The former Saturday morning star who is now more famous for his womanizing and not-so-nice ways has struck again! This time, he’s talking to the press about how he is upset he and Eva Longoria never got together. He said they have known each other for years, but never hooked up because they were never both single at the same time. Like that’s stopped him before… He goes on to say that he’s jealous of Tony Parker and he’s a “lucky guy”. Ain’t he a peach? I wonder how Mr. Parker feels about this sudden development.
First off, sorry for the absense. Some technical difficulties beyond anyone’s control. But, I’m here now and ready to share all the latest about Wysteria Lane!

What do you think? Add your own here in the comments if you like. I’d love to see them! Before I leave, I wanted to share a picture I found of Dana Delaney. She was in Monaco yesterday to promote the show as part of the 2008 Monte Carlo Television Festival. While she was there, she even went on a shopping spree with Mel B, of all people! How’s that for an unusual pairing? The TV show Extra was on hand to film their trip to a Cartier store. Well, that’s all for now. See ya next time!

If you were at Wendy’s in Corpus Christi yesterday, you may have seen someone familiar behind the counter: Eva Longoria Parker. In a total departure from her character, Eva spent some time serving up fast food… Gabby would be appalled! So, why was the star moonlighting? According to reports, it was to help out a great cause.
That’s not all she’s up to during her hiatus. Eva has also been spotted here and there at basketball games to support husband Tony Parker. His team, the Spurs, are currently competing in the NBA playoffs. The image to the right is from a game on May 23, 2008 against the Lakers. The teams played at the Staples center in LA.
How’s this for a random paring? That’s Elizabeth Berkley (yes, the chick from Saved by the Bell and Showgirls) chatting with Marcia during the Feed 100 reception at Whole Foods in LA. That took place just a few days ago, on May 19th.

ration, which gets the topic back on horses for a couple minutes. To change the topic, she talks about locking the key for her car in the trunk as they were getting ready to leave the track. She is completely in awe of OnStar, which ended up saving her after she gave them the car’s VIN number. Of course, getting that information was another issue all together. It was dark at the time and she had to go all over the place trying to get someone to lend her a flashlight. Why am I now picturing Susan in a similar situation?
