Desperate Housewives

Another episode down, another 5 or 6 to go. In case you missed it, here’s what went down…

The Solises

When the episode starts, Gabby and Carlos are attending the funeral for his ex-boss. People are trying to get the scoop, but neither of them are talking. Especially Carlos, who is too worried about getting fired. He feels even worse when Bradley’s boss shows up and mentions getting a call from the guy. Luckily for Carlos, the Boss wasn’t in to take the call and never found out Bradley wanted him fired. He assumed Bradley was going to talk to him about a promotion for Carlos (because of the bonus), so he offers Carlos Bradley’s old job. Gabby is thrilled until she finds out that Carlos has hired his ex to help out.

The Hodges

Bree has discovered that Orson is still indulging in some 5-finger discounting and she’s not happy about it. She finds out when she overhears Susan and Gabby talking about a missing candy dish and confronts Orson about it. He, of course, apologizes and promises that it won’t happen again. Bree isn’t buying it and insists that he goes to therapy. At his session he admits that he likes the fact that it’s something Bree can’t control. Bree, meanwhile, is busy making excuses to get in people’s houses so she can return their stuff without them seeing it. The whole plan almost falls apart, though, when she leaves the wrong thing at Gabby’s house and Gabby blames Juanita. Bree almost let’s Juanita off the hook, but a bratty look changes her mind.

The Scavos

While Bree is trying to salvage her reputation, Lynette is trying to do the same for her career. She’s having a hard time looking for a job in marketing because she’s older and it’s a very youth and image driven world. She’s about to give up totally when she finally manages to get hired by a company that is looking to market an anti-aging cream. Later on, she also finds out from Gabby that she’s being offered a job with Carlos. Lynette decides to go where the money is and takes the job with Carlos, but quickly realizes that Gabby only got her the gig so Lynette can spy on Carlos’ ex, who is now working with him.

Susan

As usual, this week finds Susan in another wacky misunderstanding. This time, it involves the teacher she’s working for. Susan hears from one of the kids that the teacher goes through the assistants quick and that Susan is about to be reviewed. Susan is desperate to make a good impression, so she invites the boss over to hang out. What she doesn’t know is that her boss is gay and the woman thinks that Susan is into her. Susan manages to get out of trouble, though, as always.

The Williams

Dave is still planning his big trip and is disappointed to discover Katherine isn’t going after all. He tries and succeeds in talking her into going on the trip with them, though. They’re now on the way to the camp site. Edie, meanwhile is still investigating Dave and discovers dead wife and child in some newspaper stories. When Edie mentions kids to try and see Dave’s reaction, he mentions Paige, but says it was someone else’s kid. Edie knows better though and this should get pretty good if the promo is any indication.
