Personally, I like the idea of Gabby getting mixed up with the new family. We really haven’t seen the Solises at the core of any season mysteries, so this would be a nice change of pace for me. It looked like they could be setting something like that up, as well, with Ana’s former guardian talking about suckering some other poor slob into raising Ana.

Shawn, otherwise known as Andrew Van De Kamp. It seems that he’s decided to say goodbye to the show (at least as a regular character) to focus on other projects. It’s been said he will still appear in several episodes of the sixth season, though. I think this is a real shame. He was one of my favorite parts of last season. It’s kinda cool to have seen this character develop from smart mouthed kid to son from hell to a pretty responsible and cool guy. After all, it definitely looks like Andrew was the driving force behind the success Bree has had with her business and writing. Not to mention he how has become one of her close personal confidants, helping her with the whole Orson situation. Let’s just hope they write him out in a good way that leaves the door open for his return, should he decide to do even more guest work or return full-time in the future.

The movie is called Noah’s Ark: A New Beginning. It’s the second in a series of movies that retell Biblical stories. The first one was released a couple of years ago and was based on the Ten Commandments. This time, they’ll be telling the animal’s side of the Noah’s Ark story. She’ll be voicing the character Zenna. The movie is pretty much using familiar names in this one. Michael Keaton, Rob Schneider and Howie Mandel are all listed as being in the cast. I have to say that the most surprising co-star is Eliza Dusku. Ya know- Faith from Buffy. She’s currently getting ready for the second season of her new show Dollhouse.

I have to admit, I may wanna watch this one. I love the idea of telling this story from the animals point of view. Seems like a fresh and cool twist for it. What do you guys think? According to Andrea, Marc wanted to give the character a little break so they could bring her back with a big splash. From the very few details Andrea gives, it sounds like Julie is going to be involved in some very interesting and different stuff this year. Still with me? Good, cause I’m kinda excited about this one. Apparently he’s being brought in as a love interest for McClusky. I really like her, so it’ll be good to see her get another story to play out. Especially since her role in the big ‟mystery‟ last year kinda fizzled out after awhile. I’m curious to see how they handle this one and what it might mean for the rumored spin off with her character. So what do you guys think? Not too bad, huh? I think this would definitely get my attention if I didn’t already see the season. So, how many of you out there are thinking of getting the season 5 set? I have to say I’m definitely tempted to buy it. They’ve been doing a pretty decent job with the extras (which is more than I can say for some shows…) and extras are a big seller with me. It’s just always fun to see the behind the scenes stuff and learn about how new episodes get put together every week. Plus- some actors and writers are just entertaining during the commentaries. Spoiler TV has quote from Marc Cherry himself saying that John will, in fact, show up on Wysteria Lane in season 6. He just won’t be taking along that girl he was about to marry- they ended up in Divorce Court. (Shocking, huh?) Anyway… rumor has it, he’s going to be hooking up with someone on the Lane and his latest hook up is not going to go over very well with a certain family he has a history with. It was not a total and complete shut out. The series did manage to snag one nomination in the one of the acting categories. Beau Bridges will be competing for the Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series prize. I gotta say… good choice! There was just something about him in that role that really got me. Not sure why. This episode and the character had all the makings of a disaster to me. I usually hate when a series introduces a character we’ve never heard of before that everyone has known and loved for ages and kills them off, never to be mentioned again. Still- he and the others did great and actually made me believe what the show was trying to sell.

Beau’s competition in the category is Justin Timberlake for Saturday Night Live (I swear, if he takes the prize…. ::shakes fist::), and Steve Martin, Jon Hamm and Alan Alda for 30 Rock (am I sensing a pattern here?) If you want to see the full list of nominees, head on over here.

The episode in question is called The Boat and is part of a marathon of the series. It’ll air at 11 AM. Ricardo plays Sgt. Eddie Fosberg in the episode where Joan is asked to build a boat, which makes her mother wonder what’s wrong with the teenager.

In case you didn’t really pay attention to the show back when it was on, Joan of Arcadia starred Amber Tamblyn as a teenager who speaks to God and a new task each week. Usually it ends up teaching her some kind of important lesson and the God she speaks to changes from episode to episode. In the series, God appears to Joan in different forms- old, young, male, female, etc. It lasted for 2 seasons on CBS before getting cancelled. I used to love this show, so I am curious to check this episode out. I don’t remember him on it at all. I must’ve missed this one the first time around.
