So, you all know Marcia Cross as the uptight Bree Van De Kamp and some know her as the crazy Kimberly Shaw of Melrose Place. Still, that’s not all there is to Marcia. She also was on the series Everwood, whose second season is now on DVD. It’s selling for $39.98- no word on what extras are included (or not included as the case may be. Hi, Charmed!!)

The series was on the WB and focused on a Doctor named Andrew Brown as his family. Andrew is actually a surgeon and moved his family from the big city into the small town of Everwood. During this season, he gets involved with a holistic doctor named Linda Abbott. This is where it gets a little spoilery, so if you haven’t watch the series you may wanna go elsewhere now.

Things get bad fast when it’s discovered that Linda had been infected with HIV from a patient. This causes a big scandal as well as insurance issues that force Linda to up and leave the town after quitting her practice. Nice, huh? Sounds like great material for her, though. I’m curious to see this myself after reading about it. The funny thing? The series also is said to feature Brenda Strong as well. Not only that? Betty White (The Golden Girls) has a recurring role as well!

So, who out there already has this DVD or saw it on TV? I’d love to know what y’all thought about Marcia’s character and the storyline. I leave you now with a clip from the show posted by xBreex. Enjoy!!

Hello again! Well, all the car issues and settled (knock on wood!) and it’s time to get back down to business. Yesterday, I told y’all about a new addition to the Housewives cast. Today, I wanna talk Eva Longoria. If you’ve been keeping up with this blog and any other news sources about her, you know that Eva spends a lot of time traveling, particularly in France with her husband Tony Parker. In fact, she’s made a few appearances on French TV show Fort Boyard with him.

Recently, she taped yet another appearance on the show. This time, she’s taking on fear factor-like tasks for charity. A report from The Sun says she flew through the air and went through mazes filled with creepy crawly things all to benefit the Make a Wish France Foundation. You can see a slightly more detailed account of what she did, as well as a couple pictures, right here. The appearance won’t air for a few more days yet according to the article. I’ll keep my eye out for any youtube clips of that one to share. Just don’t expect me to actually watch the maze stuff! I’m getting the creepy crawlies just thinking about it!

Like I said before, this isn’t Eva’s first time on the show. She’s don’t other appearances and I found one for you! (Warning- I haven’t loaded the whole video yet, but it looks like more creepy stuff. Beware if you’re wimpy like me.) It also features Tony and was posted by four37. For any french speakers out there, her parts are subtitled:

So what do you think? Be sure to share your thoughts below and I’ll see you next time!!

Hey everyone!! So, news has been pretty scarce lately, what with the season over and them not being back in production for the next season yet. Still, I did see a story about the show on yahoo news today. It was about a new cast member. Don’t worry- no real spoilage at all.

It looks like a new face is about to move to the Lane. Drea de Matteo has signed on to join the show in its sixth season. All the report says is she’ll be playing an Italian Matriarch whose husband is in the landscaping business. Cool, huh? For those who don’t know her all that well, Drea has had a couple of high-profile parts over the years.

Her biggest was as an informant on the cable series The Sopranos. As I recall, her character got a little too chatty and ended up getting killed off. Her other big part was on the short-lived sitcom Joey. Ya know… the Friends spin off? Yeah, I didn’t watch it either. If I’m remembering correctly, she had been cast as Joey’s sister.

Recently, she’s made some headlines for a more personal reason. She just announced her engagement to country music singer Shooter Jennings. A wedding to plan and a new part on a series? This girl is going to need some serious time-management skills. Well, that’s about it for now. Take care and I’ll see y’all again tomorrow. Please excuse these posts being late recently, by the way. Lots of car drama still. Hopefully, tomorrow it will all finally be straightened out. We’ll see. I leave you now with a promo for her movie Sleepwalk, which was recently released on DVD. Savoca Films posted it:

Hey, everyone!! I got a couple things for you today. First off… remember when Gabby went to boot camp to get back in shape and clashed with the instructor? Well, you can see him on TV again come the fall/winter when 24 premieres. He’s signed on for a guest role on the series. For a little bit more detail head on over to the 24 blog. You’ll also get to see a clip of him and Gabby sparring. I, personally, can’t get enough of that one. It’s hilarious.

So, anyway… let’s talk some other news. It looks like ABC is really going all out with the cross-promotion thing. They’ve released a promo for their fall season that features two ABC actors: Teri Hatcher and Matthew FOX. Check out the youtube clip below:

For anyone who either can’t load it or doesn’t feel like waiting (dialup sucks doesn’t it?), I’ll recap it for ya. Basically, they’re being their show characters and are in Susan’s kitchen. She’s fixing something and flirting a little with him. She asks him to get something on the ‘island’ and you see a bunch of clips of Lost playing as he has flashbacks. He freaks out a little and rushes off to go back there to take care of something, leaving Susan completely confused as to what just happened. In the beginning, you can also see the show’s logos, as well as ones for other shows, on mail boxes outside the houses. Well, that’s about it for now. Take care and I’ll see you guys next time!!

Hey, everyone!! Can you believe it’s the weekend already? Time flies, doesn’t it? Before I sign off for the weekend, I wanted to share something I found on youtube with you. I’m sure you all remember that James Denton has played in Band From TV and is pretty active on country awards shows and stuff like that. Well, now he’s taking it to a different level by appearing in a music video!

Have you all heard of Phil Vassar? He’s a country singer who plays piano instead of guitar and got his start in the business writing hits for other artists like Jo Dee Messina. Eventually he landed his own deal and has released several solo albums of his own. Now, he’s getting ready to release a new single called Bobbi with an I. It’s a song about this macho seeming guy who spends his off time dressing up as a woman and going out on the town. James Denton is appearing in the video (but not as Bobbi). There’s no word on when the video will premiere, but here’s a little clip from PixelMuzik showing James and Phil behind the scenes. Enjoy!

For anyone who can’t see it and is curious, he ended up being in the video because he and Phil are involved in an annual charity event together. So what do you all think about this from the clip you saw? Are you interested in seeing the finished product? Think James should’ve passed on this one? Post you comments below and I’ll see ya next time.

Hey, guys!! It’s been a long, crazy day and I am finally coming online for a little bit to post. After a little searching, I found this video online. It’s of Rachel Fox, otherwise known as Kayla. Now, we all know that she’s a good actress and can play a psycho kid like nobody’s business. In this video, she shares another talent (or two!) as she covers Taylor’s Swift’s hit Love Story. She accompanies herself on electric guitar:

This is actually not one of my favorite Taylor songs, although I did get into more after the follow up, White Horse, was released. I liked the contrast between the idealistic, fairy-tale theme of this one and the jaded, weary tone of the other song. Especially since the second song has ‟I’m not a princess, this ain’t a fairy-tale‟ in the lyrics.

Anyway… I really enjoyed this. The girl has a very nice, pleasant voice and I’ll be interested to hear what she sounds like as she gets a little older and has more training and experience behind her. Not to mention she can handle a guitar pretty well! Me? I can barely get through some songs on Guitar Hero, never mind playing them on an actual guitar. So what did you think of this video? Did you enjoy it? Are you hoping she has more covers out there posted? Comment and let me know so we can chat about it. In the meantime, I think I’m gonna go look and see if she has any more out there. What can I say? I love watching cover song videos. See ya next time! Take care.

Hey, everyone!!! Well, it looks like Edie’s demise this past season is still making news in some parts of the world. The other day The New Zealand Herald mentioned it as part of an article about the best soap opera star exits. The top ten, to be exact.

The site doesn’t actually number each one, but I’m assuming that they’re starting with number 10 and working their way down. If that is the case, Edie ranks number 6. I haven’t seen most of these moments, but that seems like a pretty good spot to me. Although, if my assumption on the ranking is right, I’m a little surprised she’s ranked above the Dallas thing. That’s become an iconic pop culture moment that people still joke about and remember. Not quite sure that Edie’s farewell will stand the test of time as well. I guess we’ll have to wait and see on that one.

Most of the shows on the list look like Australian/NZ series, but they do have several American shows listed (obviously, Housewives and Dallas are two of them). They also mention Lost and The Colbys (a spin-off of Dynasty). So what do you all think about this? Have you seen these shows and wanna rank them yourself? Do you think a show should be replaced with another one? Make your own list below. I’d love to read it. I guess that’s about it for now. I’m gonna leave y’all with the moment in questions, posted by weinertwien. Enjoy!! See ya tomorrow!

Yes, that’s right. I said you’d better watch out and you know why? Because Eva Longoria is out to get you!! According to a report posted on AskMen cheaters are Eva’s big pet peeve and she is not about to sit in silence if she knows something is up. She’s been quoted as saying that she will not hesitate to snap some proof and show it to a friend whose significant other is straying.

She also said that she thinks it’s important to do so, because the truth will always come out one way or another. It may as well come from a well-intentioned friend right? Luckily, I have never had to be in that position, either as the exposer or the one who’s being cheated on. Still… I gotta say that I think I agree with her on this. I would definitely want someone to tell me and I hope I’d be able to tell someone else if that was going on.

What do you all think about this? Is it best to just come clean with the wronged person and save them the pain of finding out later on after wasting a bunch of time in a relationship or should you stay out of it? Have you been on either side of this situation? What did you do and how did you handle it? Be sure to comment and let me know. I’d love to get people’s thoughts on this issue. That’s about it for now. Take care and I’ll see y’all next time. I leave you with a clip of Eva serving Frostys at the annual Faather’s Day Frosty Weekend, thanks to meshmonster:

Like I was saying before…. awards season is upon us and some of the magazines are already making their cases for different shows. I was just browsing the internet today and came across an article from Variety’s website where they dissect the returning shows and new ones that are being considered for nominations.

All the usual suspects are included here. You’ve got Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother and Ugly Betty, among others. Of course, Desperate Housewives is also on the list and they have a lot of good things to say about the show and it’s future. They even singled out one of my favorites (Eva) as a strength of the show. Even when they talk about the weakness of the show, it ends up with a positive. See what I mean by checking out the article here.

I totally agree with everything the writer has to say, except I do have a few concerns about how long the quality of the show can keep going. That’s always a danger when a show is entering year 6 and has several more to go. They seem to think it’s all good, based on the success of season 5’s jump. I hope they’re right on that one! I’m definitely curious to see what Marc has in store next.

So what do you guys think about all this? Are there other shows on the list that you think might be more deserving? Do you disagree with any of the points in that article? Comment and let me know! I’d love to chat about it. See y’all next time!

Hello out there! Hope you’re all having a great weekend. If you’re curious about why this post was kinda late, head on over to my 24 blog where I have posted an explanation. Before you do, though, check out what I read on the TV Guide website. (Don’t worry- no spoilers involved! Well, unless you haven’t seen the season 1 finale or anything after it…)

TV Guide recently compiled a list of the 100 greatest TV episodes of all time and Desperate Housewives was included. The epsiode they picked? One Wonderful Day, the season 1 finale, which was ranked #55. The interesting part of this is the way they kept Rex’s death quiet in the spoiler age- it wasn’t even in the script. Marc Cherry is quoted as saying that was added later on in post-production. It wasn’t the first time he’s done something that like either. He also used similar sneaky tactics to keep Edie’s suicide attempt hush-hush and we just saw him hide Mike’s bride from us as well in this season’s finale.

Sometimes, I’m curious as to how these people feel about the whole spoiler thing and the methods they have to resort to to keep stuff from getting out too soon. It’s definitely gotta make things interesting. So what do you all think? Was this episode the right choice or would you have picked another one? Be sure to comment and let me know. If you want to see the rest of the list, you can find links on my 24 blog. Take care and see ya next time. I leave you with the scene where Bree finds out about Rex’s death, posted by Fabulio. One warning- it’s in French. If you want the English version, head over here. The poster disabled embedding for it.
