Good morning, everyone. How are you all doing today? I’m pretty good and ready to share a preview with you! It’s the only one that’s been released for episode 10 yet, so enjoy! Thanks CoolDHFan for posting it! For anyone who can’t watch it, let me give you a little rundown. If you don’t wanna know anything at all go no further. May I suggest a couple blogs for you?

So, the scene has Carlos, Susan, Bree and Gabby in it. Carlos is talking to Susan and Bree about the operation he had and how his vision’s supposed to be back and clear as can be any time now. He also praises Gabby up and down for being “an angel” during everything that’s happened. All of a sudden, Gabby comes into the scene, yelling at Carlos for not wearing some special glasses the doctor gave him to prevent his eyes from being exposed to any light. Apparently, Gabby’s been a very bad girl. During the scene, a basball gets knocked off a table and Susan picks it up. Carlos asks them what they think of it. The girls look confused because there’s no autograph or anything on the ball. Gabby motions to them to play along, because she sold the actual autographed one awhile back. What she doesn’t know (and what Carlos informs everyone of) is that it was autographed by Lou Gherig and passed down through his family. Gabby sends him away to take his eye drops so she can scheme her way out of trouble. Good luck, there, Gabby. I have a feeling someone else’s marriage is about to experience a balance of power…

Well, that’s all for now. Take care and I’ll see y’all next time!

This episode had lots of good ones. Let’s not waste time shall we? Here are my favorites…

Carlos: Did I ever tell you when I knew I was going to marry you?
Gaby: When you saw me on the runway.
Carlos: No, that was when I knew I was going to sleep with you.

Gaby: We don’t accept charity.
Carlos: What? We always accept charity!

Carlos: Please don’t tell me it’s my hearing. I’m only down to four senses!

Susan: Gabby thinks that Carlos isn’t going to find her attractive when he gets his sight back.
Edie: Yeah, That’s my first thought too.

Juanita: I want macaroni!
Gabby: Hey, I’m not a short order cook! I don’t have time to cook different meals for everyone.
Juanita: It comes in a box. It’s not that hard.

Bree: Snoring would be too mild of the word of what you’re doing. Imagine a terrified elephant, summoning his herd.

Bree: It’s about mothers teaching daughters how to cook. I’m going to to cook pancakes with my daughter. Only she isn’t here. She grew up and stole my baby.

Bree (after the doctor mentions Orson seems nervous about his surgery): Oh, he’s not apprehensive- he’s terrified and I don’t care. He owes me one. A big one. Don’t you dear?
Orson: I sure do.

Bree (explaining relationships to the doctor): Over time, you’ll learn there’s a balance of power in a releationship. If you’re beloved ever plays a nasty trick on you, like say drugging you into a stupor, the power shifts to you.

So what about you guys out there? Did I miss one of your favorites? Feel free to share yours in the comments. Take care and see you next time!

Good morning, everyone!! I thought today I would post some of my highlight and low points for this week’s episode. Starting with Bree, who I thought stole the show. From the snoring talk, to the drugged cooking demonstration and the emasculation of Orson later, she was definitely something to watch. What I can’t understand is, why didn’t Orson know better than to mess with Bree like that? The man apparently has no survival instinct. Should be fun, though, watching him try to make up for the mess he caused in future episodes…

Another high point? Dave Williams (as usual). I loved that scene where he’s watching the news report and is clearly upset about all the other people who died in the fire. Neal did great at portraying that pain mixed with a stoicism about the whole thing. In his mind, the mission still has to get done. I haven’t really seen him in anything before this, but you can bet I’ll be making a point to watch other stuff he’s done now.

Gabby and her kids was a highlight mixed with a low point for me. While I got a laugh out of the scene with her lecturing the kids about ruining her figure when they argue about dieting, I felt a bit uncomfortable with it as well. It seemed so cruel of her. Still, I also enjoyed Juanita’s sassy response to Gabby refusing to cook something else. I’m almost scared for Gabby when they kid becomes a teenager.

Finally… can we just cut down Susan’s screen time? She’s starting to bug just a little bit without Jackson around. I almost got the impression it wasn’t even about Mike dating Katherine. She seemed to be unhappy from the second she heard he was with someone. Sorry, Susan- you wanted a divorce and you’re dating someone else. Deal with it.

So what were your favorite moments? Anything you wish had happened differently? Let me know! Take care and see ya next time. I’ll leave you with the promo for next week. Enjoy!

Good morning, everyone. How about that episode last night? Now that is what I’m talking about. In case you missed it, don’t worry! I’m about to give you a run down. Let’s start off with Susan and work our way up to some of the better stuff, shall we?

Susan visits Mike in the hospital and suddenly realizes that he’s dating someone, but she doesn’t know who. She insists Mike has to tell her, but he refuses, saying that “she” wants to break the news. Now that Susan knows it’s a friend of hers, she spends most of the episode obsessing over who. The guessing game ends after Susan samples some cookies at Katherine’s house and realizes they’re the same exact ones she had in Mike’s hospital room. She then spends the rest of the episode upset with Katherine (and Bree, too, after she finds out Bree already knew). Bree tells her off and makes Susan realize she’s being unfair. Susan calls Katherine to apologize, but you can still see she’s not happy.

Lynette, meanwhile, is scared Porter might have started the fire. He had threatened Mr. Shilling right in front of her just before it started. Still, she refuses to admit as much to the police. She thinks they need to protect Porter no matter what. Tom doesn’t quite agree with that. Lynette later has a talk with Porter and asks him to come clean if he had anything to do with it. If he did, and is honest, she says they will help him. If he lies and she finds out about it, then they won’t be able to help him at all. He swears he had nothing to do with it and even comes clean to Lynette about having just called Anne, who won’t return his calls. He asks if Lynette has any idea where she is. Lynette then lies to Porter and says no, even though she just got back from taking Anne to the bus station. She’d given Anne some money and ordered her to leave or Lynette will press statutory rape charges. Anne agrees and admits to her own lie: there is no baby and never was.

Gabrielle is thrilled when she hears that an operation can be done to restore Carlos’ site. That is… until she remembers what she looks like now. She doesn’t want him to be disappointed and starts on a diet and exercise plan immediately. Her insecurities get even worse when she finds out the surgery will be in only a few days. She tries to stall, but Carlos won’t have that. Gabby eventually admits her fears to Carlos and he puts her mind at ease, telling her a story about when he first knew he wanted to be with her forever and tells her it had nothing to do with her looks.

Now, we have Bree. She’s discovered Orson is snoring very badly now after he suffered an injury in the fire. A simple procedure can fix it, but Orson doesn’t want to go along with it out of fear of surgery. In order to avoid it, he decides to put some sleeping medicine in Bree’s tea before bed. He stops her from drinking it, though, after finding out she took some sleeping pills. One problem- genius didn’t throw out the tea. Instead, he left it on the bedside table and Bree drinks it the next morning, getting her all nice and drugged up in time for her big cooking demonstration at the mall. She, naturally, completely humiliates herself and Orson is forced to go through with the surgery.

Last, but definitely not least, is Dave. He gets questioned by the cops at the hospital, but manages to play it pretty cool. Once he gets home and starts watching the news reports, you can see he’s clearly upset about all the innocent people that died in the fire. He even appears upset when he finds out Porter is considered a suspect. Still… he’s got an objective and he can’t worry about his conscience right now. He goes to the police and tells them he saw Porter in the back where the fire started.

There you have it. “Me and My Town”. So what did y’all think? Was it a good one? Are you disappointed? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Take care and I’ll see ya next time.

Good morning again! I hope everyone had a great and safe holiday yesterday. If you wanna share what you did for Thanksgiving, please do! I’d love to hear about it. Now… let’s talk some TV huh?

I was browsing yahoo news today when I saw an interesting story. It was talking about how, given the current economic situation, flashy shows like Housewives and Dirty Sexy Money might be on their way out. There are quite a few industry people out there who think that viewers might be ready to see shows that portray things closer to their reality like Roseanne did back in the 80s and All in the Family in the 70s. For those who might not know much about those shows, Roseanne followed the lives of the Conner family, a working class people from Illinois who were always trying to figure out how to get by on very little. All in the Family portrayed working class people as well, but with a patriarch who had some problems with being PC and dealt with a lot of social issues of the time.

Another types of shows we might see even more of? Crime dramaslike CSI. Experts are saying these might become even more popular in these troubled times because people like seeing problems solved neatly in a little bit of time. Another possible effect of the economic downturn: the end of the dominance of reality shows. The reasoning there is people will be tired of watching others compete for flashy prizes or showing off crazy lifestyles, opting for more scripted programming to provide some much needed escapism. Lower ratings are being cited as evidence of this. We might also see fewer shows coming out since the ad business is hurting a bit as well.

So what do you all think? Are you finding yourself longing for more escape TV? Are you bored with reality shows and flashy characters? Comment and let me know what you think. Take care and I’ll see you next time. Also, don’t forget a new episode of Housewives airs Sunday.

Good morning and happy thanksgiving, everyone!! We’re actually going out this year, so I guess I can say I’m thankful I’m not cooking today. Before I head out, I thought I’d stop in and share what the residents of Wysteria Lane are grateful for. Check it out:

Bree: I’m thankful that it wasn’t me on that tape and Andrew hasn’t told me how he got it back.

Tom: I’m thankful that I got a new guitar… I was bummed when Penny broke the old one.

Dave: I’m grateful that the people on this street seem very stupid and that the only one with any smarts is out of town now.

Gabrielle: I’m really thankful that they didn’t give me the statutory rape story again this time. Of course, I’d be even more thankful if that creepy old lady would just keep us in the will.

Mike: I’ll be thankful if the writers don’t make me the target of a crazy person again.

Katherine: I second that one… I finally got something going on here and the writers better not screw it up. After last season, you owe me.

Andrew: I’m thankful when Danielle visits… she’s a great source of comic relief.

So, there you have it- a list of what some of the residents are grateful for this year. I thought I’d finish off with a quick recap of Teri Hatcher on The View yesterday. Basically, they did a lot of talking about the holidays. Teri actually cooked dinner for about 40 people earlier in the week (she had Thanksgiving early cause of the custody arrangement with her daughter.) Turns out she’s very crafty, too. She made Halloween costumes for Emerson and a couple of her friends this year. Susan she is most definitely not! They also discussed Gale a little bit, who is continuing to recover nicely. She said they’re hoping he comes back soon (same here, Teri), although she does seem to be all for a Susan/Mike pairing in the end. They also aired the preview clip I shared the other day. It has Susan and Mike in the hospital and she’s slowly beginning to realize he’s seeing someone, although she doesn’t know who. You can see it all yourself here, courtesy of one of my fellow bloggers.

Well, that’s all for today. Take care and have a great holiday!

Good morning, everyone!! I hope everyone is all ready for the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow. I know I am! In the meantime, I promised I’d share some previews with you. I just can’t see them myself because of internet connection issues (dial-up is NOT youtube’s friend!) Enjoy em anyway and I’ll provide some commentary another time. By the way… I think we owe a big thanks to those who have shared these clips with us.

Clip One: Susan and Mike

Clip Two: Tom and Lynette (I assume this is gonna be the scene they showed a little of in the episode promo. If so… good stuff!

Clip Three: Bree and Orson (who have gotten much better the past few episodes, by the way. I’m hoping this scene and episode keeps that trend going.)

Clip Four: Susan, Gabby and Edie. (Ok, I’m annoyed I can’t view this. I can only imagine how good this one is gonna be.)

So for those who watched em… what do you think? Were they good clips? Did they give away a bit too much? I’d love to hear your thoughts on them. Finally… I wanna share just a few cute quotes from the latest episode.

Andrew (after the reporter overhears Orson’s parole officer leaving a message): Now can I be gay?

Susan: Why is the cab driver handing money to Julie’s boyfriend? Why does Julie’s boyfriend going back in the cab? And why is the middle aged cab driver kissing Julie? (I loved her facial expressions and tone during this one!)

Gabby: Hey since I’m saving your life and all, I’m thinking maybe you could keep us in your will?
Virginia: No…
Gabby: Eh, It was worth a shot.

Lee: (to Bree) So is your first husband really into S&M hookers?
Bob: (after she storms off without answering) So you wonder why we don’t get invited for anything? (They’re funny. We need more Bob and Lee moments, don’t you think?)

See y’all next time and have a great Thanksgiving!

Good morning, everyone!! Well, we’ve talked the ladies of Wysteria Lane so why not talk about where to find the men on TV this time? I’ll start with James Denton.

He’ll be the guest start on a West Wing repeat on BRAVO. That will air November 26 at 8 AM. On November 28, you can catch him being himself on a repeat on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. That will air on CMT at 3 PM and again at 8 PM. Finally… the ladies aren’t the only ones doing Lifetime movies. He’ll be in one called Custody on November 28 at 9 PM. Not bad, huh?

Now, let’s talk Neal McDonough. You won’t see him, but you can hear him on toon disney this week. On November 28, they’re airing the Incredible Hulk cartoon and he’s in it! You’ll need to set those VCRs, though. The episodes air at 3:30 AM and 4 AM. If you want to actually see him in action, you’re in lick. He’s going to be in the movie Hitcher airing on HBOeast at 3:45 AM and in the time-travel movie Timeline on the Sci Fi Channel at 1:30 PM. Those air on the 27th.

Next, we have Kyle MacLachlan. You might remember him playing a character named Trey MacDougal on Sex in the City. Well, TBS is playing the repeats and you can catch them at these times: November 26 (12 AM and 11:30 PM), November 28 (12:10 AM and 12:40 AM) and November 29 (1:30 PM).

And now, last but not least, Doug Savant. You can catch him in the movie Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence airing on TMCe on November 29 (10:30 PM) and November 30 (2:30 AM). I have never heard of this movie, but it sounds like one you might get a good laugh out of. Let me know what you think if you watch it or have already seen it!

Well, that’s all for now. Take care and I’ll see you next time with some sneak peaks. Later!!

I promised to update you as the situation changed, so here’s the lasted on SAG and the Producers union. Apparently, certain leaders of SAG have decided to launch a campaign designed to get their members to vote on whether or not to strike since the latest talks failed (once again, thanks to new media). Considering how well the last big walkout went, I wonder what they’re thinking and hope this gets voted down fast.

Let’s face it- times are really tough right now and the industry (not to mention California’s economy) is still recovering from the writer’s strike. Doing it again and putting many costume designers, prop people, crew members, etc. out of work at a time like this is unthinkable to me. Especially since they get no residuals and probably work much harder. Let’s hope cool heads prevail and California and the economy at large doesn’t take another big hit.

In some slightly better Housewives-related news… guess who’s got a new guy? Nicollette Sheridan! She was spotted out the other night celebrating her birthday with some kisses at a restaurant. Who’s the new guy? I hardly believe it, either… David Spade. Yes, he who also once dated Heather Locklear. All I have to say is- this guy must have one heck of a personality. Congrats to the new couple and good luck in the future.

So, is SAG out of their minds? Did Nicollette trade up or down? Let me know what you think! And don’t forget- new episodes return on Sunday night. I’ll, of course, be here to fill ya in on everything that happens. Til next time… take care!

Good morning, everyone!! How are y’all? I thought today I’d share some TV listing with you so you can see some of your favorites in other roles. Let’s start with something that fits the season shall we?

Felicity Huffman stars in the movie Christmas With the Kranks along side Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. They play a couple who decide to cancel Christmas and go on a cruise instead only to be faced with neighborhood protests. Felicity plays a character named “Merry”. It airs on FX today at 5 PM and again at 9 PM.

Think you know Eva Longoria? A new show called Celebrity Says will put that to the test. It’s described as a game show that uses red carpet quotes and footage to test people’s knowledge of actors. That airs on the TV Guide Channel at 11 AM on December 1st.

Teri Hatcher is paying another visit to The View (the Housewives seem to love this show) on November 26th, just in time for the new episode airing on the 30th. That airs on ABC at 11AM.

Finally… let’s talk about someone who is new to Wysteria Lane: Lily Tomlin. She’s the guest star on several reruns in the next couple days. Today, at 11AM, she’ll be on Will and Grace (Lifetime). Tomorrow, she’s the guest on Murphy Brown at 5AM on TV Land. On the 23rd, she’s in the movie The Beverly Hillbillies, airing on Fox Movie Channel at 4:45 PM. For those of you who don’t know the actress very well, here’s your chance to catch up. She’s the subject of an episode of Biography airing at 1 PM on the Bio Channel.

Well, there you go… where you can see the Housewives this week. Take care and I’ll see y’all next time. I leave you with a clip of an interview with Lily and Kathryn Joosten. Beware, cause I haven’t been able to watch it- could be spoilery. I’ll post again later once I get a chance to watch it and let ya know if it’s safe.
