Ranking the Housewives
Hello out there! Hope you’re all having a great weekend. If you’re curious about why this post was kinda late, head on over to my 24 blog where I have posted an explanation. Before you do, though, check out what I read on the TV Guide website. (Don’t worry- no spoilers involved! Well, unless you haven’t seen the season 1 finale or anything after it…)
TV Guide recently compiled a list of the 100 greatest TV episodes of all time and Desperate Housewives was included. The epsiode they picked? One Wonderful Day, the season 1 finale, which was ranked #55. The interesting part of this is the way they kept Rex’s death quiet in the spoiler age- it wasn’t even in the script. Marc Cherry is quoted as saying that was added later on in post-production. It wasn’t the first time he’s done something that like either. He also used similar sneaky tactics to keep Edie’s suicide attempt hush-hush and we just saw him hide Mike’s bride from us as well in this season’s finale.
Sometimes, I’m curious as to how these people feel about the whole spoiler thing and the methods they have to resort to to keep stuff from getting out too soon. It’s definitely gotta make things interesting. So what do you all think? Was this episode the right choice or would you have picked another one? Be sure to comment and let me know. If you want to see the rest of the list, you can find links on my 24 blog. Take care and see ya next time. I leave you with the scene where Bree finds out about Rex’s death, posted by Fabulio. One warning- it’s in French. If you want the English version, head over here. The poster disabled embedding for it.
