Ratings and Casting Dish…
Hello, again!! I have some casting news to share with you (I’ll put it behind a cut for those who might not wanna know) but first, I thought I’d share some ratings news with you guys. According to the latest numbers, Housewives improved on last week’s 13.5 million by getting a total of 14.3 million for this week’s episode. Not only that, they were number one in the 18-49 demographic. No wonder they’re working out the details of bringing the show back for longer. Will it keep up? Stay tuned and find out next week. By the way…. It was just announced by the network that we’re getting a 2 hour finale this year and it will air on May 17th. It’s hard to believe the season is so close to ending. Anyway… let’s get to the casting dish, huh? (by the way- the picture is from a preview event during the show’s first season. I thought it might be nice to look back before getting into what’s coming up)
Marc Cherry seems to be really in love with the fiesty older women. Ausiello has just reported that he cast 77-year-old Gloria LeRoy to play a Wysteria Lane resident. She’s supposed to show up around the same time Nicollette leaves. According to the rumor mill, she ends up having some part in her departure. We’ll have to see how that goes. There is also supposed to be a woman who might be up to some funny business with Tom showing up as well, played by Sarah Knowlton. I gotta say, I am not thrilled with that scoop from Ausiello. Haven’t they been down that road with them a few times before? Ya know… like just this season? So what do you all think? Are you happy? Annoyed? Confused by the recurring plots?
