Ratings slump was a fluke after all
Remember last week when I reported that the returning episode of “Desperate Housewives” received painfully low ratings? I knew it had to be a fluke and it looks like it was. “Desperate Housewives” was the top show of the night once again, bringing in the ratings and the love for ABC. And while ABC didn’t win the night (that honor went to CBS and “Amazing Race” and “Cold Case”), it has to be a relief to the VP’s at ABC that “Desperate Housewives” hasn’t lost it charms with the all-powerful 18-49 demographic. I’m pretty sure the slump was due mostly to the return of “The Sopranos” and the fact that it was Easter Sunday. A lot of people weren’t watching tv that night, at least not network tv.
