Rose’s Turn Recap
Wow… that was quite the episode, wasn’t it? For anyone who missed it, here’s a little recap/review of last night:
If you watched the previews I posted before, you knew this episode was going to continue dealing with the aftermath of Edie’s death. Everyone is still feeling it to some extent and there are still angles yet to be explored that I’m sure will come up at some point. Let’s start, though, with Gabby.
The Solises
Gabby’s joined a garden club and is not happy to discover that there’s actual gardening going on there. She’s not the only one, either. Because of this, she decides it’s time to organize a coup. Unfortunately, there’s 6 on their side and six that will definitely be on the other. To remedy this, Gabby recruits Tom to join the club and be their tie-breaker. It works almost a little too well, though, as Tom becomes very popular with the girls and Gabby steps in to keep Lynette from maybe getting hurt.
The Scavos
So why was Gabby so worried? Turns out Tom is getting ignored by a busy Lynette and wasn’t exactly ignoring the attention of the other ladies. He doesn’t intend on cheating, though. He gets a bit concerned, though, when he finds out Lynette’s been using Carlos’ bathroom at the office to shower. He doesn’t like it, especially once Carlos ends up accidently seeing Lynette naked when she falls there. This was after promising she wouldn’t use the shower there again.
The Hodges
Bree’s decided to try and make things work with Orson, and Andrew is not happy about it. He keeps reminding Bree about the things Orson has done, but she doesn’t wanna hear about it, going to visit him at the hospital, where he’s being treated for that baseball bat to the head. Of course, no one but him knows how he really got the injury. How? The lady he was robbing at the time had a small heart attack after and now she’s talking about Angels of Death that tried to steal a nicknack from her and caused Edie to crash. Orson hears about this and plays it to his advantage, actually helping to get her put in a home. Bree finds out about all this from Katherine, who’s been visiting the woman and gets angry that Orson has been lying again. He claimed he hit his head while out on a walk. She decides that she may have to divorce him after all and goes to Andrew for help. He’d offered to get a list of attorneys together earlier. If she’s this mad now, wait’ll she hears about the Edie connection.
Susan
So, everyone’s been trying to help Dave through his difficult time. Mike and all the girls try stopping by to talk to him. Susan finally gets her foot in the door and, after seeing a gun and hearing him talk strangely, worries he might try and off himself. To protect him, she steals his gun, knives, ties and anything else she can find that he might be able to use to commit suicide. She promises to come back later to see him, and when she does, Dave is furious to learn she reported him as a suicide risk. To be fair to Susan, though, she didn’t have much choice. Genious left the basket full of knives and all in her front passenger seat. When a cop stopped her for talking on a cell phone, he sees it all and arrests her, thinking she’s dangerous. She apologizes for it and actually gets Dave to talk some. He admits how guilty he feels over Edie’s death because they had gotten into a fight and she ran off, getting into the accident. Susan tries to make things better by telling him she understands how he feels, telling Dave about the accident she and Mike were in and how they lied and told the cops that Mike was driving since Susan had discovered she forgot her license. Dave plays nice and hugs her, but you can see the wheels are turning. At the end of the episode, he sees MJ about to walk into the street and stops him, telling MJ his mom would be devastated if anything were to happen to him. And suddenly, I’m very scared for MJ.
