Someone’s moving on… (don’t read if you avoid all mainstream media to stay away from spoilers)
Hey everyone! Normally, I spoiler any information directly relating to casting and plot details, even if they’re in major news outlets. This time, though, I’m not going to because a certain actor on the show has announce he/she is leaving the series via his/her publicist and well- it’s all over People’s website. I figure what’s the point? The actor in question?
Shawn, otherwise known as Andrew Van De Kamp. It seems that he’s decided to say goodbye to the show (at least as a regular character) to focus on other projects. It’s been said he will still appear in several episodes of the sixth season, though. I think this is a real shame. He was one of my favorite parts of last season. It’s kinda cool to have seen this character develop from smart mouthed kid to son from hell to a pretty responsible and cool guy. After all, it definitely looks like Andrew was the driving force behind the success Bree has had with her business and writing. Not to mention he how has become one of her close personal confidants, helping her with the whole Orson situation. Let’s just hope they write him out in a good way that leaves the door open for his return, should he decide to do even more guest work or return full-time in the future.
